Dear Precious Friends,
World Outreach International (WOI) is in a good place! What a wonderful 80th anniversary celebration we have just had in Thailand. This was our second WOI 80th regional celebration this year. The 240+ participants came mostly from the greater asian and south pacific regions with a few visitors travelling from as far away as the UK and NZ. Inspired! Encouraged! Challenged! Totally exciting! Best conference ever!.. These comments summarise the type of feedback our office in Singapore has since received.
We came together to honour the Lord for His faithfulness and His goodness. A five member music team from Singapore volunteered their time and paid their way to come and lead us into the presence of the Lord every morning and evening. They were great! The presence of God was so real and precious throughout the four nights and three days together.
The plenary sessions, the electives, the practical interactive sessions, the topical breakout groups, and evening ministry sessions were incredibly powerful and so well received. One visiting pastor said, “I didn’t know I would be so blessed and inspired by attending a mission conference.” Prophet / Pastor Alex Larsen once again blessed us by personally prophesying over every single / couple / family / team. Wow! People were so blessed and blown away (in a positive way) with what was said. Thank you Alex & Elaine for coming.
Another highlight was when we publicly acknowledged 25 folk who have served with WOI between 20 – 52 years! A group of young adults then paired off with each one and prayed over them, then these ‘soldiers of the faith’ prayed for the younger ones. This too was powerful. A very moving moment.
The following is some of the feedback we have received:
“This is the most exciting conference I have ever been to.” (Jason)
“As newcomers to WOI we felt the warmth & welcome of our new family.” (HK & Victoria)
“The conference was like an oasis for us. We feel so refreshed.” (Chaiyot & Gail)
“What an exciting moment this was in the mission’s history.” (Eliza)
“I was so encouraged to see so many young people attending.” (Joy)
“We left the conference with fresh faith for the harvest ahead.” (Jo & Jenny)
“This celebration showed me the value that WOI gives to those serving God.” (Doi)
“I loved the great times we had in the presence of God each day.” (Lumlang)
“What a super bunch of people!” (Godfrey)
“This conference was a defining moment in our lives & ministry.” (Chris)
“The field reports were like listening to the book of Acts being read out.” (Hwee Keng)
“Coming a long distance to such a conference was one of the best decisions we have ever made.” (Dilys)
In the next few weeks we will be posting some of the anniversary teaching sessions on-line for all to hear. You will be blessed by listening to these.
We returned to Singapore feeling both privileged and honoured to be serving such wonderful and dedicated people in God’s kingdom. Thank you too, for partnering with us in prayer and in financial support which allows us to continue serving God’s amazing ‘saints’ who are giving their all on five continents of the world. We will all share in their reward.
